The Bridge End Outdoor Centre is run by a community of volunteers and one part-time member of staff - the fantastic (and very busy) Catherine! To help reduce the amount of time we spend answering questions, we would greatly appreciate it if you could first check our FAQ below and see if your question has already been answered – Thank you!!!

  • I would like to hire the Outdoor Centre, what is the availability like?"
    You can see all currently secured bookings for the Outdoor Centre displayed under "Available Dates" on the Group Accommodation page. If you have any further queries about dates please do get in touch.
  • Can I book a single / double room?
    No, unfortunatetly it is only possible to book use of the whole Outdoor Centre building.
  • Can I hire the Outdoor Centre for a long-term period at a discounted rate?
    No.
  • Can I hire the Outdoor Centre for a daytime / evening only event?
    Yes. Please contact us directly for further information.
  • Is it possible to book a pitch for my Caravan / Tent?
    Unforntunately at this time it is not possible to book your Caravan or Camping pitch ahead of arrival. The site has a lot of space, and it is rare that you will be turned away, this is especially true for Camping with Tents!
  • What if I turn up with my Caravan and all 4 Caravan Pitches are already in use?
    Our Caravan Pitches include Electric Hookup and Water, however if you arrive and all Caravan Pitches are in-use, you are welcome to park elsewhere on Outdoor Centre's spacious site without hook up and simply pay the tent price!
  • Can I hire a Caravan / Camping Equipment from the Centre?
    We do not supply any Caravans or Camping equipment for rent. However, a quick google search will display some of the several businesses in Shetland that hire Caravans and sell Camping equipment!
  • What facilities are available?
    A full list of facilities available to all guests is displayed on the Caravans & Camping page.
  • Do you have electrical hookups for tents?
    There are only electrical hook ups for 4 Caravans - the camping area for tents is too far from these hook ups.
  • Can I visit Bridge End by boat?
    Yes! Bridge End Outdoor Centre is also home to a well equipped Marina with Visitor Berths. More info can be found on the Marina page.
  • Can I hire a Sea Kayak / water sports equipment from the Centre?
    We do not supply any equipment for hire. However, a quick google search will display some of the several businesses in Shetland that do!
